Holla! I thought it was about time we had another bra review, and luckily this little gem from the Parfait by Affinitas Autumn/Winter 2012 collection was waiting for me to try her. I fell in love with this stunning ‘Alexis’ set in purple wine at the Parfait by Affinitas press event back in June. I have to admit the main reason I went for this set is the beautiful colour – it’s drop dead gorgeous! Secondly, I’m a fiend for high-waisted knickers so obviously they were my top choice for the separates.
It’s the post you’ve all be waiting for, and one of my favourites to do (such a shame it only comes around twice a year, sob sob). As always I’ve been on the look out for exciting new releases from brands we know and love as well as new, fresh faces, as well as key shades, themes and shapes that we’ll all get to enjoy come the beginning of next year. So what does Spring/Summer 2013 have to offer us? Let’s have a look-see:
I’m a sucker for a press event to re-acquaint myself with some brands that I’ve no doubt perved over at Moda a few months before. So when Affinitas invited me to their recent event I RSVP’d with a jubilant smile on my face as I recall them featuring a LOT in my Moda Trend Report post back in February. Held in the gorgeous Covent Garden Hotel in – you guessed it – Covent Garden, the decadent room with posh sandwiches, fresh juice and fruit platters was matched by just-as-decadent lingerie.
Regular readers and those who follow me on Twitter may have heard of my recent falling in love with the brand Parfait by Affinitas. They’re a brand whom I’ve admired from afar after seeing their gorgeous designs on various blogs and websites, and even getting up close and personal with their collections at the Moda trade show in August.
Our very own Becky has reviewed the Parfait by Affinitas Charlotte set before here, but after reading how she found the band sizes extremely snug – to the point where she’d consider upping a band size to a 32G (and therefore a cup size too) I thought that perhaps my luck would be in and I could ‘get away’ with wearing a 30 band despite usually preferring a 28 band – so I thought I’d write my own review on the set as I’ve certainly a word or two to say!
Last weekend I went to the Freya fitting event in Selfridges and it got me thinking about what I want for Christmas (I’d tell you what I’m getting other but that would be telling!) With exactly one month to go until the big day, here is my top 5 wish list from the current and upcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 season:
