Just when you thought our onslaught of Parfait love was over, we’ve got a first-glimpse look at their up-and-coming Autumn Winter range for 2015! Our creative adaption of the look and feel of the Parfait by Affinitas campaign imagery continued and evolved into AW15. The hair was amped up and the makeup was a little darker, but the same grown-up and seductive feel was carried through into the next season. We wanted to make sure that the brand stood out from the noise and made a statement with this sultry attitude which is seriously lacking in the full bust lingerie world.
Just imagine; it’s 6am, and you’re waking up on a freezing December morning – you can see your own breath in the room and the thought of leaving your duvet seems about as appealing as swimming with piranhas. That is, unless you have a lingerie photoshoot to go to. If I had this agenda every winter morning I’d be springing out of bed and into the wintery wilderness like a jack-in-a-box. Who needs fluffy pyjamas and cosy surroundings when you could be in a elegantly dishevelled photography studio in North London surrounded by bras, models and endless cups of tea?
Last month I was lucky enough to be invited to one of the hottest UK lingerie events: The Cosmopolitan Lingerie Show. This was the first year I’d ever been to the event, and after keenly following blog posts and social media after the event for quite a few years now, it was amazing to be there and wrapped up in this super-glam celebration of lingerie.
I’ve been of the opinion, until now, that Pour Moi were the best thing since sliced bread, and without doubt my favourite inexpensive full cup lingerie brand. I wouldn’t say that this isn’t completely the case, but my love has been dinted by the Promise – it simply didn’t, ahem, live up to the ‘promise’ of other Pour Moi bras I’ve tried.
On Tuesday I was invited along to the Old Town Hall in Chelsea for Calico PR’s Catwalk Edit, where they showcased the brands they represent’s latest collections and gave both brands, press and PRs a chance to network and introduce themselves. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, enjoyed seeing some old faces and some new, but best of all made some pretty exciting brand discoveries for both regular and fuller cup.
It’s not very often that you see Lepel bra reviews. In fact, I don’t think there’s ever been one on Invest In Your Chest before and a quick Google search will reveal just how under-represented they are as a brand within the lingerie blogging world. So why not more Lepel coverage? Well, for me they’re a brand which don’t often put themselves out there. They don’t really shout about themselves too loudly and their designs often have a very safe look to them.
It’s not that often that I find a bra in my size that I find really sexy. I’m not actually that huge a fan of overly sexy lingerie and will rarely go out of my way to buy any, let alone wear any. I’m much more of a cute, pretty, glamourous, fun lingerie kind of girl (and not all at the same time). For this reason it’s pretty unusual for me to pick something up that’s both bright red and lacy, but when I saw Pour Moi’s Amour Longline in my local independent lingerie boutique, I couldn’t resist.
