Boux Avenue Alarna: Bra Review

boux-avenue-alarna-balconette-bra-black

Boux Avenue and I have never really got along. It’s true, I’ve written previously about their questionable in-store fitting service and previous reviews have had low scores. In fact, whilst I’ve made a few recommendations to friends about trying their bras for size, I’ve near enough avoided entering a Boux Avenue store since my last blog post in 2012. It wasn’t until a recent trip to Bristol when I spotted a super-cute fluoro orange bikini caught my eye the week before my holiday that I popped in.

Pour Moi Geometric Bra in Spearmint: Bra Review

Pour-Moi-Spearmint-Geometric-Bra

I have recently gotten really tired of ALL my bras, so have been on a huge spending spree to give my lingerie drawer a bit of a refresh. Living in Bournemouth, there’s not much choice when it comes to bras in my size, and even less of a choice of reputable fitting outlets.

IIYC & Triumph Bra Club Now Fully Booked! #triumphbraclub

Triumph Amourette, Maison Triumph

I just wanted to write a quick post to update you guys on the IIYC & Triumph Bra Club meet and greet event I’ve been planning with Triumph International on Monday the 9th of June, and I’m stunned to announce that this event in now fully booked. I truly wasn’t expecting for there to be such an amazing response to this, and it’s incredible to have your love and support. I’m so thrilled and excited to meet you all in 12 days’ time.

Ewa Michalak S Szykuś: Bra Review

Say hello to my ‘going out’ bra. This is my go-to LBD bra, and I’m sure you can see why. It’s not often I get a good cleavage in anything, (and I mean ‘good’ cleavage where the bra still actually fits and is comfortable, with no double, triple or quadruple boob in sight!) so when I first tried on my Ewa Michalak S Szykuś, I knew we were going to be friends.

IIYC & Triumph Bra Club – 9th June 2014

Triumph Stand up for Fit

After being kindly invited to attend the gorgeous Triumph popup shop in Covent Garden for a bra fitting, the brand and I have knocked our heads together and decided to host a fitting event for all Invest in Your Chest readers to come along, get fitted and try some Triumph lingerie for themselves. Any IIYC readers who can pop along (as well as hanging out with me and a handful of other bloggers) will receive a complimentary fitting and a free set of their choice in their new size. If that’s not a good excuse to get re-fitted I don’t know what is!

Maison Triumph, Covent Garden

It’s been a long while since I was last fitted, so when Triumph Lingerie invited me down to their pop up shop in covent garden for a fitting, I simply had to oblige. Never one to turn down a trip to London (which I turned into a bit of a weekender and stayed with the lovely George of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust), but I’ve always particularly loved the Leicester Square/Covent Garden/Soho part of town, especially when the sun is shining. There’s just such a buzz about the place, and an infectious atmosphere of creativity, culture and charm.

Freya Tropics: Bra Review

Hello dear readers – you may be surprised to see that today’s post is a bra review, after what seems like forever since I posted my last one. Thankfully, it’s a good’un and one of the nicest bras I’ve seen from Freya Lingerie in quite a while – in the form of Freya Tropics. I roped in a pal to help me with this one as she has recently changed bra size and is somewhat of a Freya Deco junkie so I wanted to help her try something else.

Student’s Guide to Bra Buying: Quality Bras for Less

Freya Ooh La La Body in Black

When it comes to buying bras, or anything for that matter, I’m what can only be described as a ‘massive bargain hunter’. It’s extremely rare that I’ll buy anything full price, and my lingerie addiction rarely evades this philosophy. The good news is there are so so so many options for frugal frillies – so for those of you waiting on payday or your student loan, you needn’t wait to kit out your top drawer!

Moda: Lingerie Trend Report Autumn/Winter 2014

Moda time is one of my favourite times of year. There’s nothing I love more than popping around the stalls and seeing what my favourite brands have to offer in the coming seasons – or even better – finding a new favourite brand to drool over! This year was no different, with a fair few ‘must haves’ from the likes of Gossard, Tutti Rouge, Freya, Panache and more. Warning: this season is not for the shy – I’ve put together a summary of some of the trends I spotted weaving their way through each of the collections, with neon bright shades, oriental, strong colours and bold florals making a strong statement.
