Rosie Huntington Whiteley For Autograph

…it’s an M&S silk chemise. Designed by Rosie Huntington Whiteley no less.
So I may not look like a supermodel in it (boo hiss!), but if you’ve left your Christmas shopping a little late and are looking for something special for the lady in your life but have no idea where to start, it might be worth popping down to your local Marks & Sparks.
If you have no idea of your girl’s bra size, and you don’t fancy rummaging in her knicker drawer (which would either be pretty awkward if you’ve not been together long or at least ruin the surprise of what you’re planning to get her) then something like a silk slip, loungewear or fancy pyjamas can be a great alternative.
I have to say, I’ve really enjoyed trotting around in this, doing the housework – hey I’ve done most of my Christmas shopping on the internet sat in this little baby.
It’s not something I’d ever pick up myself – I buy most of my PJs in Primark – but there’s nothing to make a gal feel more special than a bit of silk and French lace. This nightdress is only £35, and really is excellent quality.
I know if my boyfriend wanted to buy me lingerie from M&S for Christmas he’d have some trouble – unfortunately they don’t even have 30FF in their website’s lingerie section at all, and I only see them sporadically in the larger stores. I’ve seen these peppered around in a few places, and are pretty readily available.
Even better, it’s machine washable and you can even take an iron to it. Believe it or not the label says it can be done. Trust me, I’ve done it!
I have to say, I wasn’t overly impressed with the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Autograph collection as a whole – too many padded styles and safe options for my liking (although I do love the very pretty, vintage vibe), but it was this classic black silk number which caught my eye for Christmas. This is something that anyone can pick up as long as they know or have a vague idea of their wife/girlfriend/partner’s dress size, and can be enjoyed for women with small to medium sized breasts. There’s not any built-in support, so for G+ busts it may be best avoided, but for me as a 30FF actually fit very nicely over the bust in a size 10.
It wasn’t mega fitted around the waist and actually had a pretty relaxed, loose fit – but I actually really liked that. It was super flattering and I felt very glam in it. I adored the scoop detail on the back as it hit me right on the smallest part of my waist and really showed off my figure. I can see myself snuggling up on Boxing Day with this as I watch the Harry Potter box set and eat endless turkey sandwiches.
Joyeux Noël!
