Panache Jasmine Bra Review

Panache Jasmine Bra Review

The Panache Jasmine has been in my collection for quite some time now (hence why I’m showing off my beautiful oriental print version circa Autumn Winter!), but they re-release and re-release this style season after season, always in pretty prints and standout shades and it never fails to catch my attention. The band is a good firm fit, but not quite as firm as the brand’s Cleo styles. If you’re familiar with the Panache ‘Andorra’ or Panache ‘Ariza’ continuity styles, you’re looking at a pretty similar fit with the Jasmine. It’s worth mentioning – quite a feat in the F+ bra fit spectrum – the straps are a reasonable width so there’s less of a frumpy ‘hefty strap’ look to the bra, but I find I have to be careful not the have the straps too tight as they tend to dig in due to the reduced surface area. I have to make sure the straps are just so before I continue to dress or I end up with a bit of strap pinching (which I seem to have ever so slightly in the picture at the top of this post – that’ll teach me to rush my bra photography sessions!).

The theme of the bra is always a pretty and decorative print, with colour co-ordinated stretch lace and matching straps. As you can see from this gorgeous champagne pink version from Autumn/Winter, the cups and front section of the band are decorated whilst the rest features the co-ordinate shade. The side panels are a brilliant bit of tech which increase forward projection of the boobs, helping sculpt a really flattering natural shape. It really helps with migrated breast tissue and encourages the little bit of squidge under the armpit to go back where it belongs with the rest of your boob. Just tuck any extra tissue under the side support panel and it holds you in brilliantly. Combine this with stretch lace and you’ve got a bra that’s brilliant for many breast shapes – it works wonders on my wide set, lower fullness. That said, on days when my boobs are a bit plumped up, the stretch lace is very forgiving indeed and it’s a bra I can wear comfortably throughout the month.

Because of the bra’s stretch lace and the shape of my boobs, I opt for this style in a 30F, despite the fact that I wear most other Panache bras in a 30FF (Ariza, Andorra, Elsa, etc). If I wear a 30FF I find that whilst the bottom half of the cups (the part which is covered in print) fits fine, the stretch lace is a bit slack and I don’t feel quite as supported. I love the Jasmine as it ticks almost all of my boxes – comfortable, affordable, sexy and supportive. It’s not one of those bras which you hide at the bottom of your lingerie drawer and only wear on days where you need utmost comfort – it’s blissfully comfortable all day and still gets hearts racing. Not a mean feat by any stretch of the imagination! My only qualms with the bra – other than the strap issue I already mentioned – is that I sometimes get a slight curling of fabric at the bottom of the cup where the wire is – something that you can just about see in the image above. It doesn’t cause physical discomfort but does irk me whenever I see it.
