I’ve been lucky enough to be included in some posts like this recently, and I find they’re one of the best ways of finding new blogs to read. Recommendations of new bloggers from bloggers you read. Simple, right?
Well in theory, yes, but since I read SO MANY blogs of all different kinds and genres, my list would probably break the internet.
I love finding new lingerie blogs which have a new spin and add their own unique perspective on what is already such an exciting blogging sphere. 2012 was such a great year for lingerie blogging and I discovered so many new favourites, but there are so many old favourites who I keep going back to.
I think it’s worth noting that this is by no means an exclusive list, and for a better idea of more of my favourite lingerie bloggers, check out my blogroll and Follow Fridays series.
1) Miss Underpinnings
I have to admit, I bloody LOVE Miss Underpinnings. She’s so entertaining and informative, and her blog is always a great read. When it comes to reviews, I always trust her judgement and she’s never let me down. On a personal level, since we’re similar sizes I always make a beeline for her blog for new styles and brands to try. I think that comes with the territory of being a pro bra fitter as a profession! She’s on top of my ‘bloggers I’d love to meet’ list.
2) Fuller Figure Fuller Bust
I think it’s safe to say that this list would not be complete without Georgina Horne, and I’m not just saying that because she pimped me out in her ‘favourite bloggers’ post. She’s another talented and passionate writer who I always enjoy, and I’d never miss a post since I always learn something! She’s a beaut inside and out but more importantly she’s a great friend.
3) Busts 4 Justice
Butterfly Collection recently described B4J as the ‘grandmother of bra blogs’, and I have to say I agree with her. When I first started out, the only blog I was aware of which spoke so openly and passionately about bras and bra fitting was Busts 4 Justice. She made her name by taking on Marks & Spencer’s ‘tit tax’, and she’s continued to inspire and cause trouble in the best way ever since.
4) The Lingerie Lesbian
The Lingerie Lesbian is one of the ‘coolest’ lingerie bloggers to make my ‘must read’ list lately. Her taste in lingerie is really something, with the most beautiful indie and designer brands which I’ll probably never be able to wear, but bloomin’ ‘eck do they look pretty. She also has a fresh perspective and writes critical posts about her experiences as a lesbian, and how this affects her relationship with lingerie.
5) The Lingerie Addict
The Lingerie Addict has been around probably since the dawn of the internet, and from the early days of blogging I’d always read her blog with awe. Similarly to The Lingerie Lesbian, there was a lot of lingerie which I’d never be able to wear as let’s face it, I can’t wear most lingerie brands with ‘mainstream’ sizes. Even so, TLA still covers lots of full bust lingerie which I can try for myself, especially with the inclusion of contributor Holly, who also has her own great blog, The Full Figured Chest. Cora, the founder of TLA, is an opinionated and spirited writer which always makes her blog worth a read.
6) Curvy Wordy
Curvy Wordy’s pictures never fail to amaze me – this girl has some serious curves! She’s got the most gorgeous figure, and to make me even more jealous she also has an amazing blog. I always point readers in her direction when they’re asking questions about large cup sizes (I’m talking H cups and up here!), and her Ewa Michalak reviews are the most in depth and expansive of all the interweb.
7) Venusian Glow/Eternal*Voyageur
Eternal*Voyageur’s ‘Bra Matrix’ remains the best online resource for women who want instant answers to their bra problems. Her advice and knowledge really is second to none, and I always love to hear what she has to say about new brands and products. She makes the world of a ‘correct fitting bra’ accessible to all women and I often hear of women reading her matrix and it becomes the catalyst for their bra fit journeys.
8) Undercover Lingerista
Undercover Lingerista is another wonderful resource for information, as she gives great insight and perspective into new brands and collections. When she reviews a product she really dissects it, and I find her reviews are extra helpful, especially as we’re such a similar bra size! She’s also a great girl who I wish I could see more of!
9) A Sophisticated Pair
Or more specifically, A Sophisticated Pair’s video reviews. They’re awesome. Erika is so thorough and has a great mix of styles. As she’s also the owner of A Sophisticated Pair the store, she spends her days fitting women of all shapes and sizes so she knows a thing or two about bras!
10) Butterfly Collection Lingerie
I have to admit, Butterfly Collection’s blog is a bit of a refuge for me. I find it really useful and informative, but it’s so much more than that. She shares my philosophy that there’s so much more to this ‘lingerie thing’ than just nice frillies and the latest fashionable colours. It’s about making yourself feel good and feel comfortable, and this comes hand in hand with body confidence. And that’s the bottom line.
I have so many more bloggers on my ‘regular reads’ list, but these are gals which each touch me and spark my imagination in their own way.
Which bra bloggers are your favourites? Who would make your list?
