Gossard Sassy Bra Review

Next up in my review of current longline bras is the Sassy by Gossard!
When I think of Gossard, I instantly think of mega-cleavage. I save my Gossard Garland set for when I want to make a serious impact and this is all well and good but not necessarily the most practical idea. I’ve had my share of nip-slips in my Gossard history, but I just can’t risk that on a day to day basis. Often I find myself lusting after their mouth watering prints and colour combinations with a serious sulk, and wonder if I could ever wear them on a day to day basis.
This is where the Sassy steps in.
The third longline I’ve tried, it is a visual feast. The purple shade is exciting and new, and is offset perfectly with both a fishnet style  lace overlay and art deco-esque lace detailing in black. Everything about the way this set looks screams luxury and you will not be disappointed. I wasn’t keen on the belt style detailing and the gold buckle, but it’s something I’m willing to look over, because the rest of it is so gosh darn beautiful. And do not even get me started on that suspender belt. It’s retro glamour at its best – a three piece set I wish I could get away with wearing every day. I am totally smitten with this vintage-style beauty and is it any wonder? Swoon!

Going from a 30 to a 38, A to G cup, I just about fit into their products, however they’re a brand I often over look. I find their cups come up a tad small generally, and as a result I save them for the times when nothing but a bottom-on-chest style cleavage will do (which isn’t a bad thing). I had thoughts of the longline Sassy being no different, and anticipated have to use tit tape just to secure my nipples and dignity, whilst sticking pencils in my cleavage, like a pubescent boy would want to do, but such novelties never happened. As you can see from the picture, the cup left no trace of double boob and actually sat perfectly flush against my skin. Success! As with the Sadie, there were some problems with wrinkling of the fabric under the bust, something which is all too common with longline bras, but considering the fabric underneath was perhaps the shortest of them all, this surprised me. I’m willing to put it down to occupational hazard though because, well, JUST LOOK AT IT!

I was more than shocked by this, and the fact that whilst there was still a cleavage, it was a manageable one, and the back seemed firm enough (although still room for something a bit more snug). Well done Gossard!
The knickers fit in a fairly standard way and were both adorable, I love the lace detailing along the leg and even though the odd belt detailing wasn’t my cup of tea, the short and thong are just too precious.
The set also includes a beautiful ‘deep’ suspender. My tum was covered, my waist cinched, and I had an excuse to wear hold ups; I was a very happy girl. Well, I would have been if it had fitted a little better. I like my shapewear to feel nice and firm (and to hold me in) and the suspender belt could easily have lost a couple of inches. But, if it’s just for show then buy buy buy – my favourite suspender belt, EVER.
As far as looks go, the Sassy wins hands down. It’s a modern twist on the classic lace you can get anywhere, and the delicious purple base colour makes it look super expensive and amazing against any skin tone. The longline bra for me wasn’t quite long enough – especially when compared to the others – but still one I’d be proud to show off. In fact, I imagine I’d wear this under something sheer for a sultry and slightly more grown up look. The deep suspender belt for me is beautiful beyond words and the three piece set is undeniably gorgeous, definitely worth the investment. And the fit was surprisingly good, and who doesn’t like a surprise? Keep up the good work, Gossard!
