Freya ‘Naomi’: Bra Review

Naomi 5501 Freya Naomi: Bra Review Invest In Your ChestSo it’s safe to say that winter is here. Soon we’ll be turning our clocks back and our evenings will get darker and gloomier before our very eyes. As some of you may know I blog for Freya Lingerie and one thing that has kept me cheerful through this dark time has been waiting for my next Freya pick-me-up to arrive and thankfully A/W 2011 looks set to be an absolute treat.

First up from the collection I was kindly sent a Freya Naomi to have a look at and I have to say it’s not my usual style. I’m very much more of a FLORALS upon FLORALS kind of girl with the odd splash of lace, however the Naomi’s quirky monochrome houndstooth was something that didn’t scream ‘BUY ME’ when I was salivating over the sumptuous ‘Coming Soon‘ part of Freya’s all-new website.

It wasn’t until I came to choose my next ‘to review’ that Freya’s girls suggested to me the Naomi – Freya’s soft cup style which I love (reminiscient of Jolie’s, Loretta’s and Estelle’s gone by) but something which will stand out in my very same-y lingerie drawer(s).

I have to say I’m so glad I picked the Naomi. the 28FF is a divine fit and the details are simply gorgeous. I’m obsessed with the soft lace upper panel of the cups with the oh-so-pretty pink over the black which creates a shadowy effect and adds a bit of interest and detail to the monochrome. The pop of colour is extended to the bows which looks so cute and adds a girly touch to what would have otherwise been quite a tough and punky design. This bra has attitude and I adore the ‘edgy yet pretty’ vibe it gives.

I wore this bra to work and it was so comfortable, the entire day went by without me even thinking about my bra at all! Even though it was the first time I’d worn it the fabric is so soft and malleable (without being slack or unsupportive - clever Freya!) I didn’t get much of a feeling that I need to ‘break it in’ to feel comfortable enough to wear all day. The fit is true to size and the 28FF fit me like a dream. If you’re a fan of the Freya soft cup you will no doubt enjoy how this bra feels and who couldn’t be tempted by that daring design and patterned straps? LOVE!
