Ewa Michalak (also known as Effuniak) is a Polish brand which I have been curious about for a long while, but ordering from overseas as well as a lack of many reviews held me back, however when expert lingerie blogger Brittany over at Thin and Curvy reviewed them and gave a glowing review, I was finally persuaded to give them a go.
Brittany has long struggled with her tiny proportions, yet with Ewa Michalak she has finally found her perfect bra size. Now, whilst I haven’t struggled too much with finding 28 bands sold by many British online retailers, I have found myself limited to a handful of brands (Freya, Panache, Curvy Kate being firm favourites), yet I am always excited to try a new brand with lots of hype and promise, and even more excited to find that they live up to the hype.
Ewa Michalak, for me, have surpassed all expectations I had of them! For the purposes of my own reviews, I ordered lots of different styles, colours and shapes so as to give the brand an all-rounded review. All bras were ordered in a 65F as anything below a 65 band is non-returnable. For the most part I was actually happy with the 65 band (despite being apparently a 30 band), and will be keeping hold of some styles in this size (I won’t be keeping all due to lack of funds and lack of need for more bras ). The only bra I will most probably return for a 60FF is the Onyx which is gorgeous but the band is much stretchier and looser than the others.
Some of the styles are available instantly but many require a 14 day wait (for the bras to be manufactured). I feel like they really are worth the wait as these bras are made from a 55 band size (the equivalent of a UK size 24-26!) so the size range is simply outstanding, the quality is magnificent and the support brilliant! Postage (following despatch) was surprisingly quick and customer service (reachable via email) was helpful and with quick responses. The site has added a UK compatible alternate which makes ordering much more convenient, the only problem is the fact the prices are still in Polish currency (Zloty) which can make prices a little confusing. My order worked out as an average 20-30 pounds per bra and they are certainly worth the price.
