Different Ways of Consuming Marijuana

Today, more options than ever are available, when it comes to consuming marijuana. The method of delivery is, of course, the most important consideration after the flower itself. Even more ways for the consumption of marijuana pop up every day.

The methods fall into three broad categories –

1. Inhalants (via inhalation) of which smoking is the oldest and most common method for marijuana consumption. This is easily the quickest way to get the Active Compound called cannabinoids (like THC) into your body since they enter via lungs and are passed along directly into the bloodstream.

  • Smoking is usually done with Joints or blunts. Joints are the most well-known systems for cannabis delivery. Blunts are similar to Joints but are made with cigar papers instead of a cigarette or rolling paper. Blunts are bigger and thicker and therefore produce a thicker smoke.
  • Pipes and bowls are an even quicker and easier way to get high that don’t require the dexterity necessary to make a joint and are less tedious.
  • Bongs and bubblers are other ways for inhalation of marijuana to get high. Bongs are often called the king of marijuana paraphernalia, come in various shapes and sizes, and are even used as decoration pieces. Bubblers are miniature bongs which are usually small enough to fit your pockets.
  • Dabs, also known as butane hash oil are extremely potent cannabis extracts that can get you high in no time.
  • Vaping is considered by many to be a safer and less harmful alternative since it involves heating of dry herbs or cannabis oil cartridges and then inhaling the vapours. There is no smoke, so no harm is done to the lungs. Vaping is considered more intense than smoking. Vaporizers that use oil are increasingly becoming popular since oil concentrates can contain up to 80% THC. (Visit Cannabis Oil For e cig Uk for more information)

2. Investments are a popular choice among people who prefer not to inhale their cannabis. These generally take longer to kick in, are more potent, and last much longer. For oral consumption, there are several options to choose from –

  • In the form of edibles. A huge variety of foods are available with marijuana-infused in them. The additional benefit of choosing edibles is that you can cook your own marijuana cookies or brownies with little effort.
  • Tinctures and capsules
  • Dissolvable strips that come in both the THC and CBD variety.
  • While it’s a relatively more complicated process, it is possible to have marijuana-infused drinks (teas and even beers).

Other methods involve the use of lotions and creams (called topicals that have been infused with cannabis to provide relief from pain, soreness, or inflammation and mostly use CBD. There are also available patches similar to nicotine patches for you to consider.
