Curvy Kate Tempt Me Bra Review

The Tempt Me is a set from Curvy Kate which I’ve always kept a wide berth of as some regular readers may know I don’t have much luck with deep ‘V’ plunge bras for one reason or another. I bought the Tempt Me a good few months ago in my usual 28FF which I found to be ridiculously small in the cups for me and a bit of a weird shape. After reading blogs from the likes of Amoire de Nuit who found that going down a band size and up THREE cup sizes the Tempt Me fit perfectly, still with ample fun and flirty cleavage. I followed this recipe as much as I could and bought  myself a 28GG from Brastop.
The fit was an unbelievable improvement: no more overspill, double boob or uncomfortable crushing, no more side boob or obscene nip slip. Instead I had a rounded shape with a low cup plunge which was very supportive and secure, with cleavage to boot. It felt great but one thing you may notice in the image above is the slight ‘empty on the bottom’ appearance which I honestly hadn’t noticed until this photo was taken. Perhaps I could benefit from a 28G but nonetheless I think this is something to look out for, but is not at all visible to me on either myself or on others, so perhaps it was the light. I’m not entirely sure…
It’s not a spot on fit, but for me it’s one of the better fits that I’ve found with a plunge bra. I’d rather have a bit of a gap towards the bottom of the cup than at the top of the cups – which I get with bras like the Freya Deco due to my lower fullness. It’s a shame but no matter what size I try the Tempt Me never fits flawlessly – and my best plunge bra fit wise is still the Ewa Michalak Cieluś.
The best thing about the ‘Tempt Me’ is its perfect marrying of comfort, practicality, sexiness and fun. I’ve never loved or worn a plunge bra as much or as proudly as my Tempt Me; mainly because of the fantastic shape, uplift and cleavage it give but also the gorgeous variety of briefs that are available: the thong, the short or the fabulous high-waisted. I couldn’t pick just one of the three so of course I bought all three and each has its own time and place, but I’m rather partial to a high-waisted brief.
With the party season on the horizon, the Tempt Me is an absolute must have for a killer cleavage, but if you’re not a fan of red then the next season’s colour-ways will be a gold in Autumn/Winter and a coral in Spring/Summer 2012 – again both teamed with black. I’m ‘tempted’ to get another…
Warning – this bra might make you pull cutesy cheesy facial expressions a la Lauren Butler! Proceed with extreme caution!
