I have a list of favourite bra bloggers as long as my arm, but Butterly Collection’s is by far one of my favourites. With such a positive message coming out of every post and a wealth of information, I always make sure I stop by and follow her Twitter like a hawk! I’ve been following Claire Dumican (now Syrenne!) and her store Butterfly Collection for a while now and actually interviewed her back in October 2011. It’s been great to see her business grow since then and I always forward Canadian readers her way as I know they’ll be in good hands!
Next up in today’s Follow Fridays interview series is the delightful June from Braless in Brasil – one of my go-to blogs for bra problem solving, in-depth information and intellectual opinions on the world of bras – yes, there really is such a thing. June’s blog really is wealth of information. Each of her posts are jam-packed full of text, but it’s always well worth reading and I always learn something every time I stop by. As it was Australia Day last week – instead of celebrating in traditional Aussie fashion, we thought it would be the perfect time to get in touch with Star in a Bra model search winner Julia McLean. With only a few short weeks to go before the launch of Curvy Kate’s Star in a Bra competition, (Blimey, is it that time again already!?) We were eager to catch up with the brand’s latest victor Julia McLean who triumphed in the Australian ‘SIAB’.
Lilly Wiggler’s retro-inspired hand-made range is far from ordinary I recently took the plunge and ordered from new lingerie brand Lilly Wiggler. With the fit of both bra sets I bought being a bit off at first sight, I was blown away by the level of customer service that I received from Lesley who adjusted, remade, re-stitched and re-posted until I was completely happy with my purchase. The first set I bought, the ‘Summer Girl’ was a less than perfect fit around the bust, seemingly unable to support in a way that I need and the Floral being rather large in the band. Lilly Wiggler proves that customer satisfaction is the key to success, and why having a brand which is living and breathing with a beating heart can be far superior to a big company.
I’ve been a long-standing fan of Busts 4 Justice since their epic battle against tit-tax back in 2007, and the fabulous Busts 4 Justice blog has kept me hooked ever since. Author Beckie Williams writes topical,interesting (and sometimes controversial!) posts about the joys and faux pas’ of The Lingerie World. Her sparkling wit and talent to spot a great story has often engaged me and left me thinking, her charming way with words and delightful anecdotes (anyone else fancy a ride on Cecil?!) has kept me going back to the ‘B4J’ blog time and time again, but recently, I left feeling dismayed.
It seems these days there are more and more competitions to get real women everywhere modelling for their favourite companies, and here at Invest In Your Chest we love that attitude. It’s about time we saw women that we can relate to advertising products we want to buy, and Ann Summers was the latest to jump on this band wagon. They scoured the nation and after sifting through thousands of entries, a top ten of stunning finalists were chosen. One glamorous advert later, and the new face of the Ann Summers Valentine’s Day 2012 campaign was to be voted for by the public…
