Wonderbra were ‘the’ lingerie brand of the 90’s, and they continue to innovate along with a rapidly-expanding market. Their rather impressive strapless bra (the World’s best seller, no less!) and celeb favourite for boosting assets, the ‘Ultimate Plunge Bra’ helps women all over the world look and feel confident. We caught up with the brand’s lingerie stylist, Sophie Stevens, about her top tips, from classic pieces which up the glamour in anyone’s lingerie collection, to fixing all your bra-related fashion-dilemmas.
Hello and welcome to my new mini-series! I hope it will introduce you to some new bloggers to read, and a whole wealth of fabulous information at your fingertips! This might be partially due to the fact I’m a blogger myself, but when I read a blog, I find myself interested in the person behind the URL. So now I’ll be introducing you to the ladies behind some of the lingerie blogs that I read, with old and new faces who are as passionate about lingerie as I am! First up is lingerie, lifestyle and beauty blogger, Eternal*Voyageur.
As it was Australia Day last week – instead of celebrating in traditional Aussie fashion, we thought it would be the perfect time to get in touch with Star in a Bra model search winner Julia McLean. With only a few short weeks to go before the launch of Curvy Kate’s Star in a Bra competition, (Blimey, is it that time again already!?) We were eager to catch up with the brand’s latest victor Julia McLean who triumphed in the Australian ‘SIAB’.
Lilly Wiggler’s retro-inspired hand-made range is far from ordinary I recently took the plunge and ordered from new lingerie brand Lilly Wiggler. With the fit of both bra sets I bought being a bit off at first sight, I was blown away by the level of customer service that I received from Lesley who adjusted, remade, re-stitched and re-posted until I was completely happy with my purchase.
I’ve been a long-standing fan of Busts 4 Justice since their epic battle against tit-tax back in 2007, and the fabulous Busts 4 Justice blog has kept me hooked ever since. Author Beckie Williams writes topical, interesting (and sometimes controversial!) posts about the joys and faux pas’ of The Lingerie World. Her sparkling wit and talent to spot a great story has often engaged me and left me thinking, her charming way with words and delightful anecdotes (anyone else fancy a ride on Cecil?!) has kept me going back to the ‘B4J’ blog time and time again, but recently, I left feeling dismayed.
It seems these days there are more and more competitions to get real women everywhere modelling for their favourite companies, and here at Invest In Your Chest we love that attitude. It’s about time we saw women that we can relate to advertising products we want to buy, and Ann Summers was the latest to jump on this band wagon.
