I’m a sucker for a press event to re-acquaint myself with some brands that I’ve no doubt perved over at Moda a few months before. So when Affinitas invited me to their recent event I RSVP’d with a jubilant smile on my face as I recall them featuring a LOT in my Moda Trend Report post back in February.
Held in the gorgeous Covent Garden Hotel in – you guessed it – Covent Garden, the decadent room with posh sandwiches, fresh juice and fruit platters was matched by just-as-decadent lingerie.
The brand have exploded onto the scene over the past year, with rave reviews on this very blog, Hourglassy and many more as well as an increased online presence and (as of very recently) their first UK online stockist, Invest In Your Chest favourites Large Cup Lingerie.
Fashion-forward designs include this gorgeous leopard print creation, the ‘Leslie’ is available in high-waisted briefs as well as a low rise brief. Similar in fit and cut to the Charlotte bra that both Becky and I have tried, it’s set to be another hit with us. Leopard print is a key trend for Autumn/Winter, so this one could be one to watch.
The one minor niggle in the red Charlotte set was the fit of the high-waisted brief thanks to the rigid satin panel down the front, but this leopard print fabric is power meche from top to bottom, promising a more comfortable and flattering fit. Hooray!
This ‘Donna’ set in this ‘mink and purple’ colour is so unique and different that I must admit I haven’t decided if I love it or hate it yet. What I will say is that it’s a very brave move from Parfait and the colour combination is like nothing I’ve ever seen!
This pretty fuschia set ‘Alexis’ is a simply yet effective design with a gorgeous chandelier-style drop detail which is so so SO pretty. It may not be the loudest of the collection but I’m so smitten by the gorgeously vibrant tertiary pink colour that I have to say this might have been my top pick of the collection.
If I had to pick a second favourite it would without-a-doubt be this shamelessly festive and foolproof red padded ‘Fiona’ set. I’m interested to see how these fit as they remind me ever-so-slightly of Curvy Kate’s ‘Thrill Me’ collection (sans frills). Could this be the next (much more wearable) satin push up bra for bigger cups?
Thanks, Affinitas for inviting me along to the event, I’m excited to see what Moda has to offer in July! Any chance of a strapless and a swim collection?
