Blog Birthday Comp: Join Me @ The UKLA #IIYCisFour

IIYC turns the grand old age of four this month, and to celebrate I’ve teamed up with the guys at the UK Lingerie Awards and Travelodge UK to offer one lucky reader the most amazing prize. I’m giving away a ticket to the highly-coveted UK Lingerie Awards, the flashest, most celebrated, most glamorous event in the lingerie industry calendar. The only catch? You’ll be going along with yours truly.

Lingerie in the FROW: The Cosmo Lingerie Show

Last month I was lucky enough to be invited to one of the hottest UK lingerie events: The Cosmopolitan Lingerie Show. This was the first year I’d ever been to the event, and after keenly following blog posts and social media after the event for quite a few years now, it was amazing to be there and wrapped up in this super-glam celebration of lingerie.

Triumph Magic Wire: Bra Review

triumph magic wire review

You may remember my blog post from a few weeks ago when I was invited along to Triumph’s press launch of their new innovative non-wired bra: Magic Wire. Well it’s been a little while now and I’ve been wearing this baby in order to test it out for you guys, and I feel like I’m finally ready to give my two cents.

Pour Moi Promise Non Padded: Bra Review

I’ve been of the opinion, until now, that Pour Moi were the best thing since sliced bread, and without doubt my favourite inexpensive full cup lingerie brand. I wouldn’t say that this isn’t completely the case, but my love has been dinted by the Promise – it simply didn’t, ahem, live up to the ‘promise’ of other Pour Moi bras I’ve tried.

The Beginner’s Guide to Bra Shapes

With so many different styles and buzzwords in the lingerie world, it’s unsurprising that it can become pretty confusing when you’re shopping for bras. Trying to find that perfect bra can be a horribly tiring ordeal, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has spent what feels like forever scouring department stores and lingerie shops searching for something in your size, let alone something that suits your shape and fits well AND is pretty, too.

Panache Porcelain Viva: Bra Review

I have to admit it, this bra has a special place in my heart since the first time I tried it was when I packed it into my suitcase when I went to Japan for three weeks back in 2012. Now I can’t even look at a Porcelain Viva without it reminding me of the amazing time I had amongst the cherry blossoms, and since it was one of three bras that I took with me on the trip (and I wore it on both the journey out and the return journey on the plane – that’s a total of around 30 hours flight time folks!), I became very much aware of all this bra’s pros and cons during that time. When it came to trying the bra a second time around (I have to admit I’m being brave and trying to tap my way into moulded and tshirt bras – any regular reader will recognise that this is a bit of a problem area for me!) I found my experience to be pretty much the same, and it isn’t all cherry blossoms and cat cafés! I love how the bra is subtle, yet plain, all at the same time. The version I had before was plain black, but even so the subtle stripe fabric and lace strip along the tops of the cups, makes the bra cute enough to be considered a prettier, more fashion-conscious version of its more basic sister, Porcelain. This charcoal grey and pink colour-way is … Continue reading…

#LFW Catwalk Edit

On Tuesday I was invited along to the Old Town Hall in Chelsea for Calico PR’s Catwalk Edit, where they showcased the brands they represent’s latest collections and gave both brands, press and PRs a chance to network and introduce themselves. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, enjoyed seeing some old faces and some new, but best of all made some pretty exciting brand discoveries for both regular and fuller cup.

Lepel Iris Full Cup: Bra Review

It’s not very often that you see Lepel bra reviews. In fact, I don’t think there’s ever been one on Invest In Your Chest before and a quick Google search will reveal just how under-represented they are as a brand within the lingerie blogging world. So why not more Lepel coverage? Well, for me they’re a brand which don’t often put themselves out there. They don’t really shout about themselves too loudly and their designs often have a very safe look to them.
